Hello! I’m Alejandra Perez Rondon, a Google DeepMind Scholar with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. Under the guidance of Professor Pablo Arbeláez, I specialized in Computer Vision, focusing on its application to endoscopic minimally invasive procedures.
Currently, I am expanding my research focus through an internship at Johns Hopkins University, where I’m working on 3D reconstruction for image-guided surgery and human pose estimation in surgical clinical settings.
I have also gained valuable experience working in startups like Arkangel AI and Anteia, where I developed capabilities to work with tech teams to build and deploy efficient solutions.
At the moment, I am seeking full-time job opportunities to contribute to AI research and development, particularly to solve healthcare challenges through innovative engineering solutions.
